Sikome Lake

About
Sikome is a 99-acre man-made swimming lake with a sandy beach inside Fish Creek Provincial Park, operated by Alberta Parks. It is filled from three fresh-water wells, not the Bow River, and an on-site treatment plant maintains water quality. Staff sample the water weekly and results go to Alberta Health Services. The facility reopened for 2026 after renovations.

Swim Feel (experimental)
Swim Feel combines the latest measured water temperature (shown above, never changed) with forecast air temperature, wind, cloud and an estimated sun strength. It is an uncalibrated comfort guide, not a safety rating, and it is separate from water-quality advisories. No score is shown without a valid measured water reading less than 48 hours old. Weather: MET Norway Locationforecast, CC BY 4.0. Model lake-swim-feel-0.1.0.
Water quality & advisories
A temperature is not a safety rating. Check current swimming advisories before you go. Cold water can cause cold-water shock.
No AHS blue-green algae advisory for this lake was listed when we checked on 2026-10-28. That does not mean the water is safe.
