How to read these temperatures

Pools publish a target temperature for one basin, usually the lane pool or the leisure pool. A teach or tot pool in the same building can run warmer, and a hot tub is a separate amenity, so a building with a hot tub is not counted as a warm swimming pool. Where a pool publishes nothing, Splashtemp shows a typical figure for that kind of pool and labels it as an estimate.

Water temperature can drift during the day and with maintenance, so check with the pool if a degree or two matters to you, for example for young children or therapy swims. For today’s swim times at these pools, see drop-in swimming in Calgary.

Which Calgary pool has the warmest water?

Vivo for Healthier Generations publishes the warmest main-pool temperature we have on record for Calgary: 31-33°C in its leisure pool. It is the operator’s target, not a live reading.

Are these live water temperatures?

No. Each figure is either published by the operator as a target for one basin, or a typical figure for that kind of pool. Splashtemp does not have live sensors in pools.

Are hot tubs included?

No. Hot tubs and steam rooms are not swimming pools, so their temperatures are left out of this ranking.
